Hezbollah Intensifies Strikes on Israeli Military Targets Amid Border Clashes
Hezbollah carried out 26 coordinated strikes on Israeli military bases and settlements today, targeting key locations, including Israel’s 8200 Military Intelligence Unit near Tel Aviv and the Palmachim Air Base. The series of attacks followed a significant confrontation in the Lebanese border village of Khiam, where Israeli forces, facing fierce resistance, were forced to withdraw after days of fighting. This escalation highlights growing tensions along the Israeli-Lebanese border amid mounting regional instability.

The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, Hezbollah, launched a series of 26 strikes today against Israeli military targets and settlements, marking a significant escalation in regional tensions. The first strike targeted Israel’s 8200 Military Intelligence Unit at the Glilot base near Tel Aviv around 2:30 a.m. The attacks then expanded throughout the day, with Hezbollah deploying missile salvos against Israeli settlements including Sha’al, Dalton, Yesud HaMa’ala, Bar-Yohai, and Birya. North of Haifa, the Krayot area also came under attack, and Hezbollah reportedly used one-way assault drones in an aerial operation targeting Palmachim Air Base.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces attempting to advance into the southern Lebanese village of Khiam faced resistance, ultimately retreating after two days of clashes. Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported that the withdrawal began past midnight Thursday, with Israeli troops employing white phosphorus and artillery strikes, as well as airstrikes to create smoke screens and cover their exit. The artillery bombardment was concentrated on the northern sector of the former Khiam detention camp and the eastern outskirts of the municipality, where direct ground clashes had persisted for nearly 15 hours.
This series of operations underscores the intensifying hostilities along the Israeli-Lebanese border, further compounding the challenges for both sides amidst a period of heightened regional instability.

Elad anticipated an eventual agreement but noted it "will not lead to the humiliation of Hezbollah in Lebanon or the Arab world."
