Yemen Houthi leader Al-Houthi Condemns Arab Silence on Gaza, Calls for Stronger Support for Palestinians

Yemeni Leader Criticizes Arab Silence and Calls for Solidarity Amid Gaza Conflict

In a recent address, Yemeni Ansar Allah leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi criticized the Arab world’s muted response to the Gaza conflict, condemning Israel’s actions as "genocidal" and calling for stronger regional support for Palestinians. He praised Palestinian and Hezbollah resilience and denounced Western support for Israel, urging Yemenis to continue showing solidarity with Palestine through demonstrations and active support. Al-Houthi also called on Arab leaders to reevaluate their alliances, emphasizing the need for a united stance against ongoing aggression.

In a forceful address, Yemeni Ansar Allah movement leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badreddine al-Houthi expressed disappointment over the limited response from Arab governments to Israel's escalating conflict in Gaza. Speaking on Thursday, al-Houthi condemned what he described as a "genocidal" campaign against the Palestinian people, especially in northern Gaza, where essential supplies are blocked, and civilians face forced displacement.

Al-Houthi highlighted the resilience of Palestinian fighters who, despite Israel's intense military efforts, continue to resist. He argued that Israel’s "policy of starvation" aims to force Palestinians into submission following what he described as its military struggles in the region. He condemned the lack of significant action from Arab states, noting, “The Arab position, for the most part, has not brought anything new despite the ongoing atrocities.”

Al-Houthi criticized Western support for Israel and linked the current situation back to colonial strategies of control, including American backing of the Balfour Declaration, which supported the establishment of Israel in Palestine. He warned that ongoing disregard for Israeli aggression could have severe consequences for the Arab region.

Discussing the U.S. and its relationship with Israel, al-Houthi claimed that recent American presidents, including Joe Biden and Donald Trump, have consistently favored Israeli interests, with Trump going so far as to implement unprecedented support for the Israeli state. Al-Houthi urged Arab leaders to recognize that such loyalty to the U.S. does not translate to respect or value for Arab nations.

Regarding Hezbollah, al-Houthi praised the Lebanese resistance group for standing firm against Israeli aggression and described Hezbollah's founder, the late Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, as a historic leader. He noted that Hezbollah continues to be a pillar of support for Palestinians, demonstrating resilience in the face of challenges.

Al-Houthi also referenced Yemen’s solidarity with Palestine, affirming that Yemeni operations would persist against targets linked to Israel and its allies. He urged Yemenis to attend public events to show support for Palestine, asserting, “Your participation tomorrow confirms that we will never retreat from our position in supporting the Palestinian people.”
