Yemen's Supreme Political Council Honors Hamas Leader Yahya Sinwar as a Heroic Martyr Against Israeli Occupation

 


Yemen's Supreme Political Council issued a statement on Friday mourning the martyrdom of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, describing him as a figure who "embodied struggle and sacrifice." The council highlighted Sinwar's unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause, portraying him as a steadfast defender of the oppressed people of Palestine.

The council emphasized that Sinwar's leadership stood as a resilient front against the "criminal Zionist aggression," and praised his martyrdom as the ultimate culmination of his efforts in resistance. They congratulated the Arab-Islamic world and Hamas for Sinwar’s sacrifice, suggesting that his death would serve as a "fuel" to intensify the struggle against Israel and further inspire Palestinian fighters.

The Political Council reaffirmed Yemen's support for Palestine, pledging to continue backing the resistance with all available resources until the Israeli aggression is stopped and the siege on Gaza is lifted.

Separately, Mohammed Abdulsalam, the spokesperson for the Ansar Allah movement, also extended his condolences to Hamas, hailing Sinwar’s martyrdom as an honorable legacy and expressing confidence in the eventual victory of Gaza and the Palestinian cause.

Mass Solidarity Marches in Yemen In a large display of support, massive marches were held in Tahrir Square, Sanaa, and across 300 other locations in Yemen under the banner "With Gaza and Lebanon... A United Front." Demonstrators expressed their condolences over the death of Sinwar, emphasizing his pivotal role in launching Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, which they described as shaking the foundations of the Israeli occupation.

The demonstrations honored the resilience of Palestinian fighters and praised Hezbollah and Iraqi Resistance forces for their continued strikes against Israeli targets, reaffirming Yemen's solidarity with their efforts.

The march's message emphasized that the operation launched by Sinwar would continue, and the resistance would persist until the complete liberation of Palestine. The statement concluded by urging Arab governments and people to recognize the ongoing threat posed by the Israeli occupation.
