Palestinian resistance factions and their military wings expressed deep sorrow following the death of Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon. Safieddine, a key figure in the Lebanese Islamic Resistance, died alongside several comrades in a strike targeting the southern suburb of Beirut several days ago.

Hezbollah confirmed Safieddine's martyrdom on Wednesday, condemning the attack as a "criminal and aggressive Zionist airstrike." In a tribute, Hezbollah hailed Safieddine as a "great leader and esteemed martyr on the path to al-Quds" (Jerusalem), highlighting his acceptance of martyrdom with patience and faith.

The Palestinian Mujahideen Movement also issued a statement mourning Safieddine, praising his unwavering dedication to al-Quds and his long history of resistance against Israel. The movement condemned the airstrike as a "cowardly Zionist assassination" and extended condolences to Hezbollah, the Lebanese people, and resistance supporters worldwide.

Hezbollah's Sacrifices Praised by Palestinian Resistance Groups After Death of Sayyed Safieddine

Palestinian resistance groups have paid tribute to Hezbollah following the martyrdom of Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, the head of Hezbollah's Executive Council, killed in an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon. These groups highlighted the immense sacrifices made by Hezbollah’s fighters and leadership, standing resolutely by the Palestinian cause despite the challenges, aggression, and betrayals they have faced.

In a joint statement, the resistance factions emphasized that the continued brutal crimes by the Israeli occupation reflect its failure to suppress the resistance in both Palestine and Lebanon. They noted that Hezbollah’s resistance "has dealt heavy blows to the Zionist regime deep within its borders, with these strikes expected to intensify." The blood of leaders and martyrs, they affirmed, "will pave the way to a decisive victory and accelerate the collapse of the Zionist entity."

Resistance Committees and al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades

The Palestinian Resistance Committees and their military wing, the al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, expressed pride and resilience in mourning the "great Islamic jihadi leader" Sayyed Safieddine. They praised his life of sacrifice, jihad, and commitment to the liberation of al-Quds and Palestine, reaffirming his belief that victory is a divine right and resistance is a duty.

The statement further emphasized that Hezbollah, whose leaders have fallen as martyrs, only grows stronger in its determination to achieve the goals for which its fighters have sacrificed their lives. Safieddine's martyrdom was seen as a symbol of ultimate sacrifice, inspiring future generations to follow the path of resistance laid out by other key leaders of the Axis of Resistance, including Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Ismail Haniyeh, and Yahya Sinwar.

The Resistance Committees stressed that the Zionist enemy understands only the language of resistance, asserting that compromise only encourages further aggression from the Israeli occupation. The statement closed with heartfelt condolences to Hezbollah, expressing confidence that the resistance would continue to honor Safieddine’s legacy in the fight for al-Quds and Palestine.

Fatah al-Intifada’s Tribute

Fatah al-Intifada also mourned the loss of Sayyed Safieddine, expressing solidarity with Hezbollah and condemning Israel’s ongoing crimes. The group reaffirmed its full support for the Lebanese Resistance, emphasizing unity in the shared struggle against Israeli occupation.

Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP)

The DFLP echoed similar sentiments, extending condolences to the people of Lebanon and Hezbollah on the martyrdom of Sayyed Safieddine. The DFLP noted that the assassination of Hezbollah leaders serves as an acknowledgment by Israel of the critical role they play in leading resistance efforts across the region.

The DFLP underscored that the loss of Safieddine, like that of other martyred leaders, strengthens the spirit of resistance not only in Lebanon but also across Palestine, Syria, Yemen, and Iraq. They emphasized that rather than weakening Hezbollah, the martyrdom of its leaders fuels the ongoing struggle against Israeli aggression.

In its statement, the DFLP praised Hezbollah’s steadfast support for the Palestinian people, noting the heavy price Lebanon and its resistance continue to pay in their fight against the Zionist project. Safieddine’s martyrdom, they asserted, enriches the legacy of resistance and inspires future generations to continue the fight for freedom and sovereignty in the region.
