A senior Hezbollah source confirmed to Al Mayadeen that Israel's attempt to assassinate Wafiq Safa, the head of the party's Coordination and Liaison Unit, has failed. The assassination was attempted through Israeli airstrikes on Beirut, Lebanon's capital, on Thursday evening.
This marks the third Israeli strike outside Beirut's Southern Suburbs, following earlier attacks on the Kola and Bashoura areas.
According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the strikes resulted in 22 deaths and 117 injuries, underscoring the heavy human toll of the aggression.
