Iranian President Pezeshkian Warns of Severe Response to Israeli Aggression, Criticizes Western Hypocrisy

During a meeting with Hamas Political Bureau officials at the Asia Cooperation Dialogue summit in Qatar, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed strong criticism of Western nations, accusing them of making false promises to Iran while urging restraint in the conflict with Israel. He warned that continued Israeli aggression could prompt a severe response from Iran, asserting that if Israel makes "the slightest mistake," it should prepare for an intensified retaliation.

Pezeshkian also lamented the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, calling it one of the most painful events of his presidency, and he recalled Haniyeh's presence at his inauguration. He criticized Western countries for their double standards, stating that while they advocate for democracy and human rights, they simultaneously support Israel's actions, which he condemned as atrocities against the people of Gaza and Lebanon.

The Iranian president further emphasized that the lack of unity among Muslim nations has emboldened Israel to commit more crimes, arguing that if Muslim states were united, the Zionist regime would not have dared to carry out such actions.
