Iranian President Calls for Increased Pressure to End Israeli Aggression and Strengthen Muslim Unity

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Wednesday urged heightened international pressure on supporters of the Zionist regime to end its ongoing aggression and halt what he described as its "killing machine." Pezeshkian expressed his gratitude to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman during a phone call, praising Oman’s stance against Israeli violations in Gaza and Lebanon. He emphasized the need for greater unity among Muslim nations to counter these aggressions.

“If Muslim countries act as one, the Zionist regime will not dare commit violations so easily, nor will the US and Western countries be able to support it,” Pezeshkian remarked. He also reaffirmed Tehran’s commitment to strengthening relations with Muscat, underscoring that ties with Oman are a strategic priority for Iran and integral to its broader efforts to bolster cooperation with neighboring countries.

Pezeshkian stressed that expanding regional cooperation would help address shared challenges and promote collective development. “Strengthening relations between regional countries guarantees a shared vision to solve our region’s problems, while also promoting the welfare, peace, and comfort of our nations,” he added.

Sultan Haitham bin Tariq commended Iran's position on regional matters, particularly its stance on Gaza and Lebanon. He emphasized the need for Western nations to avoid double standards and reaffirmed Oman’s unwavering support for the rights of the oppressed people in Gaza and Lebanon. “Oman holds that the ongoing support by Western nations for Israel's crimes is neither acceptable nor justifiable,” the Sultan stated.
