Hamas political bureau member Osama Hamdan has called on Muslims, Arabs, governments, organizations, and movements to take immediate and decisive action to halt the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza. Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Hamdan stressed the urgency of stopping the Israeli offensive that has been relentlessly targeting civilians in northern Gaza for 11 days under what is called the "Generals’ Plan."
Hamdan described the situation in the northern Gaza Strip, particularly in Jabalia and its refugee camp, as "complete genocide." He detailed how Israeli forces have been attacking civilian infrastructure, homes, hospitals, water wells, and bakeries, leaving bodies trapped under rubble and abandoned in the streets. Rescue operations have been severely hindered due to the ongoing bombardment and siege.
He warned that the Israeli government's plan to divide northern Gaza and displace its residents is part of a larger strategy aimed at ethnic cleansing, calling it "one of the dirtiest military plans in modern history." He added that these actions violate international laws and humanitarian norms.
Despite these atrocities, Hamdan declared that the occupation’s plan is "doomed to failure" and emphasized that Hamas would continue working with Arab and Islamic nations to stop the massacre and support the resilience of the Palestinian people. He urged the international community and the United Nations to resist American influence and take meaningful action to protect civilians and halt the violence.
Hamdan held the United States fully responsible for the ongoing massacres, accusing it of supporting Israel's siege and targeting of civilians. He criticized U.S. statements condemning the violence without taking concrete actions against the Israeli government, claiming that these positions have only fueled the brutal war.
He also appealed to Arab and Islamic countries to fulfill their obligations by supporting Gaza and ensuring that essential aid reaches all areas, particularly the hardest-hit northern regions. Hamdan stressed that Israeli actions not only threaten Palestine but also pose a danger to the entire region.
The situation in Jabalia has continued to worsen, with Israeli forces tightening their siege, leading to further displacement and casualties. Seven Palestinians, including children, were killed in the latest attacks, adding to the devastation in the historic refugee camp.
