Khamenei Lauds Basij Spirit, Defiance Against US and Israel in Address to Mobilization Forces
Iran’s Supreme Leader, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, addressed thousands of Basij members on Monday at the Imam Khomeini Hussainiyah to mark Mobilization Forces Week. In his speech, Khamenei underscored Basij’s resilience in the face of what he called propaganda efforts by the United States and Israel.
Highlighting Basij as more than an organization, Khamenei described it as a "school and an ideology" rooted in faith and self-confidence. "Faith in God and self-confidence are two pillars of Basij," he stated, adding that these values ensure its continued strength against adversaries.

The Supreme Leader praised the Divine assistance that he said has guided Iran since the Islamic Revolution, crediting the late Imam Khomeini for establishing Basij to counter threats. He further emphasized Basij’s dual role in defending Iran and contributing to its development, framing it as a cornerstone of the country’s progress and resistance against external pressures.
Khamenei also expressed confidence that the spirit of Basij and the broader Resistance front would overcome the policies of Iran’s enemies, reiterating Iran’s commitment to its ideological and strategic goals.
